This was going to be the cover art for my NaNoWriMo submission.

Then I decided to do a completely different story.

Pose reference used.

i love how their hair looks! making the skins slightly different may have helped separate them out more, since people don't have the exact same skin tone...but i kinda like how they blend together so it's cool.

In photoshop there was some more definition between them, but saving it for the web wiped that out. Le sigh. I'll see if I can tweak one or the other so that the skin looks different, but natural. Also, I need to change that brunette to a darker shade.
